Herpes Zoster Patients Not at Increased Risk for Cancer
When compared with the frequency of occurrence in the general population, herpes zoster patients were not at increased risk for cancer.
The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) has just learned that a study published in the Canadian Journal of Medicine is reporting that Herpes zoster infection, or shingles, is not associated with cancer.
The CBCD found the report fascinating. In the study, researchers searched the National Health Insurance Research Database in Taiwan for patients diagnosed with herpes zoster between 2000 and 2008.
When compared with the frequency of occurrence in the general population, herpes zoster patients were not at increased risk for cancer (incidence ratio=0.99). The CBCD believes this is good news and that those who have had herpes zoster can breathe a sigh of relief.
However, herpes zoster still causes a lot of pain and discomfort to many people worldwide. The herpes zoster virus can cause an extremely uncomfortable rash of blisters that typically shows up as a “band” along one side of the body’s torso.
The virus normally attacks older people and those who have lowered immune systems.
Are there any remedies against herpes zoster? Yes there are. There is at least one vaccine developed to help prevent herpes zoster attacks. That vaccine is called Zostavax.
However, according to research presented at the 69th annual meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology, and reported by Reuter’s Health in an article by Fran Lowry, “People who get vaccinated with the herpes zoster vaccine Zostavax to prevent shingles can shed the virus in their saliva for weeks afterward.”
Herpes Zoster (also known as “Shingles” and “VZV”) is a chronic herpes infection that stays with an individual for life. This malady occurs only in people who have had chickenpox, and although it can occur at any age, the majority of sufferers are more than 50 years old.
The CBCD believes one of the best means of helping to prevent a herpes zoster attack is by maintaining a strong immune system.
“The key to your health is to reduce the level of the latent viruses in your body to harmless levels.” – Dr. Hanan Polansky
That is what another, more natural herpes zoster remedy known as Gene-Eden-VIR has scientifically been designed to do. This all natural, antiviral remedy helps your own body maintain low concentrations of the latent (sleeping) herpes zoster virus.
Gene-Eden-VIR is highly effective against the latent herpes zoster virus; each ingredient was selected through a scientific approach. Its developers scanned thousands of scientific and medical papers published in various medical and scientific journals around the world in order to identify the safest, most effective natural ingredients that target the latent (chronic) herpes Zoster virus.
These scientific papers on the ingredients of Gene-Eden-VIR can be easily accessed on pubmed.gov.
Each Gene-Eden-VIR capsule contains a patented formula of five all natural ingredients including selenium, camellia sinesis extract, quercetin, cinnamomum extract, and licorice extract. In addition, each bottle is GMP Certified.
